About Grande Masonry

As President of Grande Masonry, Steve provides overall direction and oversight of the company’s operations. He leads business development and remains actively involved in projects under construction, working closely with the Grande team.

Steve brings more than 40 years of masonry experience, having served as an estimator, project manager, vice president, and president. His background provides a strong understanding of every stage of a project, from estimating through construction.

Steve serves on the boards of directors for the Mason Contractors Association in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He also serves as a trustee on the New England Bricklayers Benefit Fund and Apprentice Committees and as a trustee of the Rhode Island Laborers’ Pension and Annuity Trust Funds.

A graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Steve combines technical knowledge, extensive experience, and a hands-on approach to leading the Grande team.

As Vice President of Field Operations, Mark oversees all construction activities for Grande Masonry’s new masonry, restoration, and waterproofing projects. His responsibilities include construction means and methods, crew scheduling, logistics, quality control, and the implementation and maintenance of safety programs.

Mark has directly managed three of Massachusetts’ largest and most comprehensive historic restoration projects, as well as one of New England’s largest masonry and stone projects.

With more than 40 years of experience in the masonry industry, Mark has held positions as Foreman, Superintendent, Vice President of Restoration, and Vice President of Field Operations. He brings extensive field experience and hands-on leadership to Grande’s construction team.

Mark has been a member in good standing of the Laborers’ International Union of North America for over 35 years. He holds an associate degree in Business Administration from the Community College of Rhode Island.

As Vice President of Preconstruction, Tim has the overall responsibility for operational management of each restoration project. Tim works with our preconstruction support staff on development of work scopes, general conditions, and special conditions. Tim directs all phases of pricing, budgeting, conceptual estimates, bidding, and proposals. His duties also include client relations, presentation, and technical support, specializing in historic restoration. Prior to joining Grande Masonry in 2004, Tim founded and served as President of Capital Precast from 1989 until its sale in 2003. He also founded and served as President of JSI Construction Corp., a nationally certified historic masonry and masonry restoration company from 1985 until 2001.

Tim brings over 40 years of masonry experience to the Grande team. Tim is or has been active in APT International, Associated Builders and Contractors, Boston Society of Architects (Professional Affiliate) and other professional organizations. He attended Columbia College and NY State University with a degree in Business Administration.

As Director of Estimating and Operations, Jim provides leadership and oversight for Grande Masonry’s estimating and project management departments while supporting overall company operations. His responsibilities include strategic planning, budget oversight, cost control, risk management, quality assurance and control, and project performance reviews. He works closely with other company leaders and project teams to coordinate resources and provide oversight from estimating through project completion.

Jim brings over 30 years of masonry experience to his role. He joined the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen in 1995. Throughout his career, he has held positions as mason, mason foreman, project manager, estimator, senior estimator, chief estimator, and vice president. He is proficient in a wide range of takeoff, bidding, and spreadsheet programs.

Jim has developed strong relationships with owners, architects, vendors, and other project partners. These relationships, along with his experience as a field supervisor and senior manager, strong work ethic, and attention to detail, contribute to the continued success of the Grande team.

As a fourth-generation Grande mason, Justin developed a love for the craft while working for the family company. He brings over 15 years of field experience to his role.

Justin became a member of the International Laborers Union in 2007 and later joined the International Bricklayers Union in 2008, where he remains a member in good standing. He graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in construction management in 2011 and currently serves as a project manager on high-profile restoration and new construction projects.

Justin divides his time between the field and the office, contributing to all aspects of the masonry business.

As Chief Estimator, Scott oversees all takeoffs and estimates for waterproofing, new masonry, and masonry restoration work. His duties include preparing bid documents, spreadsheets, and requests for information and working with the team to develop complete and accurate proposals.

Scott brings 26 years of construction estimating and project management experience to his role. He is proficient in Tradesmen’s On Screen 3D Estimator, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, and Togal.AI, as well as AutoCAD, Oracle Primavera P6, and Microsoft programs. Throughout his career, he has held positions as project manager, estimator, and senior estimator, with additional experience in construction quality control and scheduling.

Scott works closely with the estimating, project management, and field teams to ensure information gathered during estimating is clearly communicated, giving the construction team the details they need to plan and carry out their work. His varied experience, technical training, and strong work ethic help lay the groundwork for successful projects.

Demo is involved in the planning and management of Grande Masonry projects, working alongside Grande’s project teams and collaborating with owners, architects, engineers, and construction managers from preconstruction through completion. His responsibilities include coordinating field teams, managing schedules and budgets, reviewing submittals, and keeping project communication and documentation clear and organized.

Demo brings more than 24 years of construction experience, including over 14 years as a Laborers’ Union member. His hands-on masonry background and leadership experience give him a practical understanding of both field operations and project management. His work includes large university projects, complex masonry installations, and historic restoration.

Before joining Grande, Demo held senior leadership positions, including Project Executive and Director of Public Property for the City of Providence. These roles strengthened his experience in team management, client relations, and overseeing complex construction projects.

Demo uses a wide range of construction management software and technology to support project planning, coordination, and documentation. His field knowledge, attention to detail, and collaborative approach make him a valuable member of Grande’s management team.

One of the youngest members of Grande’s team, Joseph, joined the company as a Project Engineer and has worked his way up to Estimator. He prepares quantity takeoffs, quotes, and project estimates, creates shop drawings, and assists with developing waterproofing scopes of work.

Joseph also supports the project management team with scope clarification, requests for information, project communication, time and material tracking, and change orders. He works closely with the estimating and project management teams to help keep project information clear, accurate, and organized.

A graduate of Roger Williams University, Joseph brings experience in architectural design, project management, and field engineering. He is proficient in Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Togal.AI, Revit, InDesign, and AutoCAD, and has design experience using SketchUp.

Joseph’s technical skills, background in design, and continued growth within the company make him a valuable member of Grande’s team.

Cindra is an experienced estimator and an integral part of our preconstruction team. Her responsibilities include reviewing requests for proposals, identifying project scope, preparing quantity takeoffs, and developing preliminary budgets. She prepares requests for information to clarify project requirements and support accurate estimates. She also obtains pricing from suppliers and vendors and builds strong working relationships with owners and project design teams.

She is proficient in Tradesmen’s On Screen 3D Estimator, On-Screen Takeoff, AutoCAD, SolidWorks/Mastercam, Bluebeam, and other related programs. She holds an associate degree from the New England Institute of Technology.

Cindra previously served as an instructor for the Autodesk AutoCAD certification program at Wentworth Institute. She continues to teach classes at the New England Institute of Technology

Kevin hold the position of Safety Manager with Grande’s safety team. His responsibilities include safety program administration at jobsites, job hazard analysis, jobsite inspections, PPE procurement and distribution, and all other related tasks required to assure strict adherence to Grande’s Safety Program.

With an Associates degree from CCRI, Kevin has 15 years of site safety experience and holds all required certifications.

Colin joined Grande as a recent graduate of Keene State College majoring in Construction Management and Construction Safety Science. He is an integral part of  our experience safety team and will assist in all aspects of administering Grande’s comprehensive safety program.
